RARE VINTAGE 1980'S CHROMEXCEL "WATERPROOF" LEATHER RUCKSACK BACKPACK BAG R$1298

This is the finest backpack that I have come across hands-down.  What makes it so wonderful is the quality Chromexcel leather that is used to make it.  If you are not familiar with CHROMEXCEL leather, it is a leather that undergoes an extreme process. 

"Chromexcel is the classic “pull-up” leather meaning that, when folded and flexed, greases that were impregnated into the skin migrate causing a very nice tonal effect. The process of creating it requires "at least 89 separate processes taking 28 working days".  ~Horween Company

In addition to the Chromexcel leather it uses what I believe to be deerskin for the two inside pockets; the leather is super flexible and soft so they are iPhone 7 and smart phone friendly.  Also they are both big enough for the largest of Smart Phones. 

My additions: I have added a inside handle with pounded copper rivets. I used a repurposed belt which is very comfortable to hold in your hand, and added a handle on the inside. The existing outside handle makes the bag easy to grab and go. The inside handle is super convenient to hang inside of a locker and get your things in and out of it. (also be hung over the back of a chair or on a hook mounted in your office; that is what I personally do in my office) One of the frustrating parts of using a backpack is that it can be difficult to load your gear. Having a handle on the inside takes care of this and makes the bag superior to any other duffel bag that you would bring to the gym. 

I have also added on the storm flap a pounded copper rivet that will ensure that it will never come loose. :-)

I have strenghtened up the stress points on this bag giving it a durability for years to come.  Literally giving it an heirloom quality; you can pass it on to your kids! If you are not familiar with pounded copper rivets, they are a really old school re-enforcement that us next to impossible to remove.  I have even tried to drill some out before when I have made a mistake and I could not do it.  I use leather washers when it is necessary to give it even more durability. 

I have this listed as a Men's bag but any woman who appreciates rugged leather goods could make this work for that perfect rugged look. 

This bag has been beautifully distressed by real people over many years.  Not by machines.  It got distressed by being loved till it got to me.  I have taken the time to recondition the leather. You really cannot buy a bag like this with the modifications anywhere but from 725BeautifulBags. 

I love the 3 outside pocket design and also the inside and security back pocket which you can access with out opening the main compartment.

I imagine someone like a college student or an IT professional who appreciates the rugged and vintage look taking this to a meeting. It is sure to get comments and compliments.  I can also see somebody who like to ride their Harley to work looking great with this bag as they pull into the office. 

It is unlined leather; this is very rare these days.  Coach, JW Hulme, and even TUMI line their bags with poly nylon cloth these days.  It is really rare to find a bag at upscale retailers that is unlined.  In my opinion; unlined is so much better and lasts so much longer.
