Absolutely Fabulous!  Vintage Clip-on Lion Head Door Knocker Earrings!  These are 1.5" long and 1.25" wide and heavy. The Lion head has great detail and the rings have small ribs engraved--very unique.  They are very shiny and bright--if they don't look that bright that is because the first two photos use high-definition to show the detail which often makes the image a little darker to show contrast!

Patent 156452 (for the clip on style) mark on back. No brand mark.  I wore these with a fantastic vintage French luxury "C-brand" chunky necklace I bought with the earrings and no one knew they weren't that brand! Very couture style!

Smoke free, pet free home.   Careful packaging in a box and then in a padded envelope!

Provenance:  I purchased the earrings in group of costume jewelry  at Bonham's & Butterfield's Auction house in San Francisco. Bonham's & Butterfield's is in the same league with Christie's and Sotheby's and only sells the finest. It was from the estate of a San Francisco Socialite!
