This cool little organ from the 50’s or 60’s has no identifying brand name, but it’s cool nonetheless! It’s kinda like an electric harmonium or something. Three octaves of black and white keys and six major and six minor chords, accessible with 2 rows of buttons on the left. Measures 26” x 12” x 8”. Still has the old 2 pronged power cord, so probably a good idea to update to a grounded plug. Motor’s kinda loud too. There are receptacles for legs on the bottom, but I don’t have the legs. The veneer is rippling a bit in some places, and peeling back in one spot, but I taped it with blue painter’s tape to prevent it from breaking before I had a chance to glue it back. I still haven’t had that chance, so it’s still taped, but easily glued, still all in one piece. The only spot where a part of the veneer is actually missing, is a 2 inch long spot on the top at the rear of the organ. As I said, 2 inches long, but only ¼ inch wide at its widest, and tapering down from there.

Some of the keys have issues that could likely be resolved with a screwdriver and some contact cleaner. Here’s an exact report. The white keys are all good in the 1st and 2nd octaves, but the G in the 3rd octave is not sounding, the A plays a B, the B plays a half assed C, and the high C plays a C, as it should be.

Now for the black keys. In the 1st octave, the E flat is lower in volume than the other keys. All the keys in the 1st and 2nd octaves are good, other than the slightly lower volume on the E flat. In the 3rd octave, the E flat and the 3 notes above it, F#, G#, and B flat, are not sounding. The D flat in the 3rd octave is the highest functioning black note.

All the major chord buttons (CFGDA) work fine, with the exception of the B flat, which is sounding only one note of the chord, and a second note that sounds a little weak. The minor chord buttons are just the opposite. Only the Gm works as it should. The Cm, Dm, and Am are only sounding the dominant note. The Fm is sounding the lowered 3rd note of the chord, and the B flat is only sounding one note, but it’s hard to tell which note it is.

It’s got a built-in speaker, and there are no inputs or outputs.

That’s about all I can tell you about this item, except that you can probably figure out some cool sounds to get out of it that will be perfect on your next record!
