 About British Gurkha Jungle or PRI Type Kukri :-

The Jungle or PRI type is the official combat issue of the Gurkhas. This is training knife & carries by the Gurkha during the combat in the Jungle. The blade is off-shining and better for jungle use. The shape and size is similar to standard issue. The blade is made of Highly Graded Carbon with balanced water puring temper on the edge of the blade therefore its very strong. Besides carrying the knife in combat and training, this blade can be used to chop wood or bone and cleaning bushes. The blade is made of Highly Graded Carbon ( 5160 Steel, Car spring) with balanced water temper on the edge of the blade therefore its very strong, It has very sharp edge (As it is made of carbon steel you can also sharpen as you wish). Blade is 10.5" from guard to tip made of Highly Grade Carbon Steel ( Steel 5160, Car spring), Thickness of the blade is about 3/8 inch at the thickest part of spine. Handle is 5.25" (from pommel to Guard) made of Water Buffalo Horn. Overall length is about 15.5 inches. The scabbard is made of Cotton Covered in buffalo leather. The scabbard has double frogs which are leather loops used to attach to the belt. Weight: 1.5 lbs or 700 grams (Kukri & Sheath). Karda & Chakmak: These are the two small knives that come with all traditional Kukris. When you buy this item you will also get these two unique knives. The Chakmak is the thick piece of metal without an edge. It is used in a way similar to a strop to hone the edge of the kukri while in the field. The Karda is the sharpened one that is used for general purposes and for more detailed work. The dimensions of Karda & Chakmak are: 2.2" blade (Appox) with a 2 inch handle (Appox).

Where this Kukri is Made?

The origin of the Kukri is in Nepal. Dharan is a small Gurkha town that is located in eastern Nepal. Dharan is very famous and important place for Gurkha recruiting. We have a own factory in Dharan,there are over than 200 black smith(metal smith,kamis). And all the Kukri they made by hand.
