This is an exquisite antique original Alt, Beck, Gottschalk doll. Her head is made of bisque and is in nearly perfect condition, except for a few tiny light grey marks on her nose. She has an open mouth with tiny teeth. Her ears are pierced. Her eyes are blue-grey in color. Her long reddish-brown hair is just gorgeous! The markings on her neck say, "ABG, 1362, Made in Germany, 2 1/2, 10." Her body is made of composition. There are some areas of composition that flaked off, but most of her body is in great condition for her age. She has ball joints in her knees, hips, elbows, wrists, and shoulders. She is 22" tall. Her dress is not original but absolutely beautiful. It is a cream color fabric with black velvet trim, and cream lace trim. There is a satin flare to her dress with tiny flowers. There are tiny pearls on her bodice. There are 3 ruffled layers at the bottom of her dress. She has a cream satin slip and pantaloons on under her dress, a long cream socks, with cream colored, ribbon laced shoes. Her hat and hand muff, look like they are made of mink, but don't feel exactly like mink, so I'm not sure what they are made of. The hat has pretty orange and aqua blue satin ribbons and orange flowers, with black netting covering it. The hand muff has the black velvet material with the mink like material, and a small orange flower on it. It can hang from the doll's arm with the black satin ribbon. Overall this little lady is a great find!
