The JTR series is the culmination of a collaboration between Samick - one of the world's largest instrument manufacturers - with guitar maker, J.T. Riboloff, who spent twenty years with Gibson, heading the custom, art and historic division. Together they have come up with the JTR range of guitars, many of which provide a fresh, new take on familiar and classic designs.

 

The LN30QM sports some noteworthy features, beginning with a stunning quilted maple top over a solid mahogany body, a pair of white JTR Hot open-coil humbucker pickups with matching white brackets, and a mahogany set neck topped with a beautiful ebony fretboard. The controls are even more unique, consisting of master volume and tone knobs, a pickup blend knob, a 3-way toggle switch - and perhaps the most fascinating, a 5-way rotary selector knob, which provides the following sound options:

 

Position 1 - bypass tone control, volume & pickup selector work normally (gives slight boost in volume and treble)
Position 2 - bypass neck pickup, volume and pickup selector work normally (here, the pickup selector can be used as a Kill Switch)
Position 3 - engage tone control with mild treble roll off capacitor
Position 4 - engage tone control with medium upper treble filter capacitor
Position 5 - engage tone control with standard treble roll off capacitor

 

Topping everything off with black nickel hardware, die-cast tuners with built-in string winders, and multiple binding from top to bottom, the LN30QM is a cut above the rest!

What was refurbished on this guitar:

When this guitar came in from the factory, the authorized refurbisher couldn't find anything wrong with it. No repairs or modifications were made to the guitar - they simply gave it a set-up and left it alone. This is a discontinued model. It looks and plays like new. Back of the headstock is stamped "used" and original serial # has been replaced with a new one.
