This is a brand new replacement chrome aerial mast (telescope) part number order code  823674001, suitable for the Hirschmann ‘budget range’ aerials model numbers: HIT AUTA 2040 and HIT AUTA 5040. These "universal" aerials were widely available as after-market replacement aerials through car audio specialists and car accessory shops, and also fitted by London Taxi as original equipment on many LTI FX4, TXll and LTI Fairway "Black Cab" models.

The mast has five chrome sections and a 'can' shaped tip. Overall extended length (unfitted) is 102 cm (40”) . When fitted exposed length fully extended is 96 cm (38") Bottom section length is 25 cm with a diameter 9mm. It is supplied complete with the toothed nylon drive cable and replacement contact spring/retaining ferule. 

Multi-lingual fitting instructions are supplied the mast can normally be fitted in a few minutes from outside the car without dismantling the aerial or trim, by removing the aerial top nut.

If you can hear your car aerial motor working, but the mast is broken, not fully retracting, sticking, bent has stripped teeth, noisy or suffering poor radio reception this is probably what you need.
