This is an intricately carved figures of a man and a woman "snuggling" inside a peanut shell. I was told it is carved from boxwood when I bought it several years ago. There is no maker's mark that I can see. I believe it to have been carved in China or Japan. This carving is free from any damage or repairs. However, the hole through the items is a bit worn, showing that it was hung as a belt ornament. The dimensions of this carving are 2 inches, by 1 inches, by 1 inches. This is a great gift for a special person or a valuable addition to your own collection.
