Up for sale is a vintage 35mm SLR camera from Miranda T No. 556551 Camera Co. with an A. Schacht Ulm Travegon 1:3.5/35 lens No. 79556 and Miranda leather case. The camera has signs of wear, brassing spots on the front, small dent on upper left side and on the viewfinder metal top, please see photos of spots, and photos showing small dents. The camera's shutter does close when shutter button is pressed, but the SLR mirror does not retract unless the film advance knob is turned. All shutter speeds seemed to fire at an appropriate rate,I was able to fire the shutter but I still had to turn the film advance knob to get the mirror to set back into place, I am not sure if this is how it works but I wanted to disclose everything I know and observe about the functionality of the camera. Because of the previous reasons stated, the camera will need a CLA (cleaning lubrication adjustment) to properly restore the camera to its proper working order. The inside is in great shape and is clean. The viewfinder will need cleaning and shows small black spots all throughout. The included lens will also need to be cleaned, the outer glass shows scratches, and possible fungus and haze. The lens also shows that the inside metal of the inside ring is worn or possibly damaged. The leather case and strap show signs of cosmetic wear from normal use and age. Please ask questions before purchasing, I am an amateur photographer with little knowledge about this rare camera. This is NOT the Orion model. Thank you for looking and good luck!
