3. The module need a 3.3V and up to 300mA DC power to boot it up, then the current will drop down, sufficient power supply is needed.
4. Don't connect the module with 5V circuit directly, or it will be fried, a logic level converter or serie resistors are needed between them.
The ESP8266 series module are very low cost effective WiFi module, wide used on Internet To Thing connectivity. You can control or monitor your appliances throug web browser by using this module, you also can use this module as a WiFi data bridge to transmit/receive data remotely.
