I tested the battery by playing the iPod on shuffle with the backlight on. It played for over 3 hours, so impressive for an original battery.

PLEASE NOTE: The iPod will be restored and ready to be synced. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO restore the iPod again UNLESS you own an original iPod charger. When you restore the iPod it asks you to connect the iPod to a charger to finish the restore but it will only complete the restore with an original iPod cable & Apple charging block. I recommend that the iPod be charged via a computer USB port with the cable provided. The only other way I know to charge the iPod is with an original Apple iPod charger and sync cable.
