Up for sale is a recent find, a HEAVY Antique 1920's Art Deco Natural Bloodstone & RARE Antique Cut Diamond 10k Solid Yellow & White Gold Men's Ring in EXCEPTIONAL NEAR MINT CONDITION. This VERY HEAVY 12.3 Gram (0.43 Ounce) Whopping Almost 1/2 Ounce Antique 1920's Art Deco 10k Solid Yellow & White Gold Ring is set with a FANTASTIC LARGE 18mm x 13mm Natural Turquoise Bloodstone. This all natural Bloodstone also known as heliotrope has GREAT RED SPATTERED COLOR in the dark green background. This Bloodstone is all natural and has not been color enhanced in any way and is guaranteed as such. Bloodstone (also called heliotrope) is green with distinctive red that resembles blood, giving this stone its name. The name Heliotrope is derived from the Greek words meaning "sun" and "turning" because of a notion that when the stone is immersed in water it would turn the sun red. The waves on the bloodstone in the photos are not blemishes but shadows and reflections because the polished surface is difficult to photograph. This Bloodstone is a Rectangular Cabochon Cut. Cabochon refers to a gemstone that has been shaped and highly polished instead of being faceted. This Bloodstone has been drilled and a Beautiful 3.4mm ( .15ct) Natural & Genuine RARE Antique Cut Diamond has been expertly set in a white gold mount and peen set into the drilled bloodstone. This is not a simple diamond chip but a very nice size round faceted RARE Antique Cut Diamond. This Antique Cut is a hybrid between an Antique cut popular from the 1500's up to the 1900 and the top of the diamond is cut like an Antique European Cut. These Old European Cut gemstones came into existence after the Old Mine Cut variety yet prior to the round brilliant diamond cuts of today, sometime during the 1880's and were used well into the Art deco period in the 1920's. The Old European Cut Diamond has a few unique characteristics to it which enables individuals to identify them. Characteristics such as rounded appearance and hand faceting production are all traits which correspond with the Old European Cut Diamond. The reason for the diamond to be cut in this manner is so that the light is brought in at such an angle that the vision which those gazing upon the diamond perceive is one of brilliance and fire. This diamond has very nice color and clarity and is guaranteed to be both Genuine & Natural. As far as clarity it is conservatively in the VS range because we can see no visible inclusions using a 10x loupe. As far as color it is hard to say because it is mounted in white gold mount so our best estimate is that it is in the K-L range. The ring has Beautiful Hand Done Milgrain details around the diamond mount. The Bloodstone and Diamond are in PERFECT PRISTINE CONDITION free of any chips, nicks, scratches or cracks. This ring has beautiful hand  milgrained details around the white gold bezel edge. Milgrain edging looks so beautiful, appealing and interesting because the beaded patterns is able to make the ring’s edge resemble the edge of a coin. A specialized jeweler's hand tool is used to create interesting texture that is said to resemble tiny beading or embroidery. The ring is a classic 10k Solid Yellow Gold Antique 1920's Art Deco Ring with great column details on the shoulders of the setting. This is a VERY HEAVY and Substantial 12.3 Gram (0.43 Ounce) Whopping Almost 1/2 Ounce 10k Solid Gold Ring. This ring is fully hallmarked 10k" and tests as and is guaranteed to be 10k solid gold. (Again this ring is guaranteed to be Solid Gold not plated or layered) This ring is in EXCEPTIONAL NEAR MINT CONDITION and will arrive ready to wear.

This is an Antique 1920's Art Deco  Men's Ring not a copy or reproduction.

Regarding Ring Sizing: Be wary of any online seller that offers sizing of a ring before it is shipped to you. Due to differences in measuring devices and the way certain types of rings fit these rings should only be sized in person by your local jeweler. Sizing by your local jeweler is relatively inexpensive and you will have a ring that properly fits your finger. All size 9 rings are not the same. The ring may fit on a mandrel and measure as a size 9 but the way the ring is made, the way the ring has been enlarged or reduced, and the finger type you have may make it fit like an 8 or 10 or worse. Have your sizing done in person for a proper fit.

Bid with confidence we are a longtime eBay seller with 1000's of positive feedbacks. Our rings are CHECKED and CLEANED (unless otherwise stated) by our JEWELER so condition is not a problem

We make every effort to represent our rings accurately by listing the weight of our rings down to the tenth of a gram and dimensions to the mm. Please use these measurements to gauge heft and scale.

An explanation of the measurements in the "Ring Size & Measurements" section. The tall measurement is the distance from the bottom or shank of the ring to the middle peak of the gemstone most easily measured when wearing the ring and placing the hand flat on the table and measuring the height of the ring from the table. The wide measurement is the width of the ring from outside to outside at the widest point when looking at the ring from the top. The rise from the finger measurement is the height of the ring from the finger to the peak of the gemstone when worn.

In the final photo the tick marks on the L-Square are 1 millimeter apart.

All of our photos are taken using DAYLIGHT BULBS with a color temperature of 5000k so the colors in the photos are extremely close to a true representation of the actual color of the rings and gemstones.
