The Original Russian LOMO Compact Automat (LC-A) was produced by LOMO PLC in St. Petersburg, Russia from 1984 until 2005
After production ended, LSI and Phenix Optical Company in China to create an updated version called the LCA-A+
The camera is completly automatic when the camera is set to "A", the shutter speeds range from 2 minutes to 1/500 of a second.
The
aperture range is 2,8 to 16. The automatic exposure system compensates
for changes in light levels after the shutter is opened by increasing or
decreasing the shutter speed.
This,
in coniunction with the rear-curtain flash-sync, results in interesting
effects with flash photography in low ambient light levels.
