Up for sale is a truly beautiful example of a 1964, 114,xxx, Selmer mark Vi alto saxophone in silver plate. This is very much a closet horn that hasn't seen a whole lot of action in its life. Because rod that it is in exceptional physical condition. 99.9% of the original silver plating remains and this horn has never seen any dent work or past repairs or resolders. When you pick it up, it still feels like it needs a little bit breaking in. The pearls are all rather crisp and this horn is just beauty to see and behold. There is a touch of grey silver tarnish here and there that I'm sure could be cleaned up with a little silver polish. The original neck is absolutely perfect and has never been pulled down or repaired. The sax comes with a newer overhaul that feels great under your fingers and will need nothing (except maybe a quick adjustment after shipping) for years and years to come! This horn place with a great big lead alto type sound and is just an all around superb horn! Don't miss out on this prize of a horn! (Please note- the case in the pictures is not included with the sale and is being used for presentation purposes only). The sax will come shipped in a contoured protec styled case. Thanks!
