TRF Foil "Green"

This Green TRF film is for SEALING the black toner circuit image to prevent pitting of the copper when used as an "etch resist".

Because toner is very porous, etchant can easily work its way through the toner particles and attack the copper that is supposed to be protected. This green film will encapsulate the toner image with plastic making it impossible for any etchant to penetrate.

Directions for use.

Cut a piece of foil the width of the board plus 2 inches longer. Lay the dull side of the foil over your toner silkscreen image and wrap 1 inch around the leading edge of the board and insert into a laminator.

Immediately after the rollers have grabbed the board and foil, drop your fingers down on top of the foil to apply resistance or “drag” over the foil to prevent wrinkling of the foil as the board is drawn into the laminator. After the board exits, peel the foil back and discard. Your board is now ready for etching.
