A brooch or lapel pin which acts as a vase for your corsage or buttonhole. Our Pointed design bud vases are 50mm long at the highest point with a neck width of 9mm. They come in silvertone, gilt or gunmetal black. Ideal for making your own small wedding buttonholes, boutonnieres, corsages, or for making brooches and lapel pins with a vintage look (think Hercule Poirot as played by David Suchet). The vases do not hold water so fresh flowers need to be wired or wrapped in a small amount of damp tissue or cotton wool. Alternatively use paper or silk flowers, beads, feathers, or the decoration of your choice. Please note that the flowers shown in the photos are NOT included with this vase (they are for illustration only) but can be purchased separately. See our other items. The table below gives our recommendations of which flowers are best suited to this size of vase (although the stem may need to be trimmed or folded in order to fit well).
Each vase comes with either a strong corsage magnet, brooch pin or tie-tac pin to attach to clothing or accessories(see 2nd photo for details). The magnets are strong enough for most everyday clothing, but may not be suitable for very thick outer clothing (such as wool coats etc.) and seem to work best on stiffer clothing items such as lapels. PLEASE NOTE: the magnets must not be used near pacemakers or other electronic equipment. Payment to be received within 7 days via paypal please. Customers outside of the EU - due to insurance restrictions, product liability must be waived when purchasing.
