For sale is a very nice and classic Olympus microscope BH2 BHTU model with photography capability. The four high quality Dpaln achromatic objectives, i.e. 4/0.1, 10/0.25, 40x/0.65, and 100x/1.25 oil, provide edge-to-edge distortion-free imaging.

The condenser is Olympus U-AC2  model, which has iris aperture adjustment up to 1.1 NA. The major/minor scales are 0.1/0.05 marking for the convenience of contrast/brightneess optimiztion at different objective powers.

Mechanically the knobs (focus, condenser, stage) move smoothly as they are supposed to behave.

The trinocular head has two Olympus WHK10x / 20 L eyepieces with clear optics. There is one diopter adjustment and the interpupillary distance can be adjusted from 55-75 mm. The phototube is a dovetail mount to accept various types of camera adapters. There are three light path selections :100% binocular, 100% photo, and 80% photo+ 20% binocular.

The stage has specimen slider with vernier scales on both x-y directions. There is a small area painting loss on the stage surface.

The illumination is provided with a 6V 20 W halogen type bulb. The intensity can be adjusted with voltmeter on the front base as a reference. The field diaphragm is available to control light intensity and coupled with the condenser position adjustment to achieve Koehler illumination, which is critical for high quality photography as well as bright field imaging.

Power cord is included.

In summary, the BH2 BHTU microscope is in great shape with photography capability to serve your hobby and/or professional work.  As a review article states, "BH2microscopes are relatively easy to service, and their high quality means they can stay in great condition even after years of use."
