Kenton Electronics Pro Solo MIDI to CV/Gate converter MKI MK1

I own 3 Midi/CV converters and this unit has always been a backup unit in case of emergencies....
so it has very little wear and tear and is in great shape. Original manual included.

This unit is highly sought after for its ease of use and durability. It is used to run a vintage style synthesizer that has CV and Gate inputs but no MIDI. You hook your MIDI device up to it and then output the information converted to the control voltage and gate/CV inputs on your synthesizer.

You have quite a few options to modify the output signals for things like portamento time and LFO speed and waveshape. You can transpose and fine tune as well as set pitchbend range. Very versatile little device to have if you need it. Also hard to find.

USE

The chances of this unit distorting are small, since it has 3 outputs. One to trigger the note, one for the pitch and one assignable (assigning it to the envelope is one of the best options). You can do lots of things with so little...

OVERALL OPINION

Great value for the money. Pro Solo's set the standard.
By the way, do you know why it's so hard to find a Pro-solo secondhand?
Easy: IT'S AWESOME, you'd have to be a fool to sell it!!!
