Original non ribbed cone - is the most efficient and responsive for guitar.
It was used in a small external cabinet with a silver face Fender Vibro Champ combo
Result: Several times louder than the original Fender internal 8" 4 ohm alnico speaker
Myth is that prolonged amp speaker impedance mismatch can damage output transformers - In reality it only matters if speaker impedance is lower than the rated output transformer inpedance - not the other way round.
No voicecoil scraping/rattling whatsoever
The speaker will be re-checked with a sweep signal generator prior to packing
Produces superb rich tone with any good low wattage valve guitar amplifiers
The original 1" voice coil dust cap has been carefully removed for improved ventilation
Users can either fit a new dust cap of their choice or
Recommended: Use an external dust cover similar to those fitted to Tannoy silver drivers
Delivery includes mounting the speaker on hardboard/thin plywood panel for safe transit - with these types of frames there is a risk they distort if posted without good protection.
