I rather suspect some of you more observant and frequent e-Bay buyers have undoubtedly noticed, I have a tendency to intermingle and/or dabble in customizing some of my S-gauge equipment. Here for your perusal and bidding considerations is just such an example of my dabbling. What we have here is a superbly detailed AC hi-rail American Flyer by Lionel “New York Central Mikado 2-8-2 steam locomotive and coal tender” that is accompanied by an also superbly detailed custom-painted Great Northern hi-rail brass imported Vanderbilt coal-type tender by River Raisin Models that can be optionally coupled to the locomotive. The A/F locomotive set is virtually brand new, having seen so more than perhaps 10 hours of actual run-time. All appliance are properly operating including smoke unit, bell, whistle, forward, rear and cab lights, fireman, engineer and operating knuckle on back of tender. The NP Vanderbilt tender which has hi-rail trucks, has been slightly weathered as well as modified with a hooking lever to mate with the A/F engine coupling mechanism, and has a S-Scale scale coupler on the back end. Also included with be the A/F operating handbook. Having no original boxes, all three items will be carefully and securely wrapped in layers of bubble wrap and other appropriate packing materials and shipped in a sturdy outer corrugated box to minimize the potential for any in-transit shipping damage. A unique one-of-a-kind item to be found only on this e-Bay auction venue listing, don't miss this special opportunity to add this intriguing steam locomotive combination to your to your S-Gauge engine roster. Thanks for looking...

Payment via “Paypal” is due within 5 days of auction ending or item will be re-listed and negative feedback posted. Please note: I only accept “Paypal” as payment as it greatly facilitates and expedites the entire auction and shipping process, so please do not request an alternate form of payment. Likewise, in an effort to keep shipping charges to a reasonable minimum, I generally only ship to the U.S. continental states via USPS Priority Mail and/or Parcel Select, at my discretion and depending on the location of the winning bidder. If you want an alternate and/or more expedited form of shipment, I will endeavor to accommodate you, but will have to charge any extra shipping cost when item is invoiced. Please note that quoted shipping charges are to continental U.S. States only. International shipping charges including import charges, taxes, etc. are not included in the item price, and will depend on the final destination and are the buyer's responsibility. While this has been listed as a “used item”, no returns will be accepted unless item is not as described. I generally ship all items within 24/48 hours of receipt of Paypal payment. In the event of any dispute, seller is not responsible for consequential, incidental or punitive damages of any kind whatsoever and seller's sole liability is limited to reimbursement of the amount initially paid by the buyer. Similarly, in the unlikely event that an item is damaged while in-transit, it is expected that seller and buyer will work together amicably and cooperatively to file a claim with the Postal Dept. Upon prompt notification by the buyer that shipping damage has occurred, “seller” will initiate the claim on behalf of the buyer, and buyer agrees to allow sufficient time for the claim to be processed and collaborate to the fullest extant possible. In addition, I will combine multiple winning items to help defray shipping expense at an additional $5.00 per item that are bid-on and won within a single seven-day time frame.
