About us

Hello. I am Mark, a self-employed man trading via the name of SEIGNEUR-TERRACES and I am dedicated to bringing you a wide selection of branded clothing and fashion items at unbeatable prices.

Myself and my wife, who works full time but helps me when she can are based in Ashford, Kent, which is about an hour from London, England and also close to Dover and thus not far from France.

We have an excellent track record of shipping products to all continents and as I have worked for the Post Office we know all about both domestic and international shipping.

We have around 1200 positive feedback, of which just under 1000 is unique and have traded on the platform since 2004.

We show the key information in the photographs and attempt to be clear, fair and not misleading in any way.

Our approach is this.

1. The photographs will normally be taken under 370 watts of lighting and clearly show, if an item of clothing, the front, back, size label, washing label and anything else of note.

If it is a different type of item, such as a game, we will show the contents, and where reasonable check that everything is present and that it is working.

2. We will provide for clothing, on new listings, one clear DIAGRAM which clearly states key measurements, and may also reference them in the title. Check the photos please to find out key information including:
  • Manufacturer's SIZE LABEL
  • WAIST measurement
  • LENGTH / Outseam measurement
  • INSEAM measurement
  • Which NATION the sizing applies to (usually the United Kingdom)

All measurements are taken flat. We recommend you check our measurements against a similar type of garment that fits you will so you can understand whether the item is likely to fit properly or not.

3. We guarantee that, what is photographed, is the same item and same version as you will receive.

Our photos are NOT taken against a suspicious artificial looking white background which is manipulated by Photoshop to look "perfect" and cannot be easily distinguished from stock photos.

We do not provide false sentiment, seller ratings or anything else which makes a used item sound perfect.

Our approach is to provide facts and identify anything which would potentially cause dissatisfaction and to describe it.

We look for imperfections including:
  • Permanent stains / Scuffs
  • Holes, tears, cuts, nicks, hanging threads
  • Missing buttons / broken zip
  • Item is missing the size tag
  • Item is missing the washing label
We also advise that the item has not been professionally drycleaned but should be ready to wear.
 
Needless to say all used clothing items will benefit from optimization and laundering, as the appearance of clothing is not improved after days being continuously handled, albeit in a polybag.

We will be open and honest.

We do not describe minor wear and tear.

We do not imply that optional adornments, such as Belts, Hoods or Drawstrings are included in the sale, unless you see them in the photographs.

We usually photograph front, back and sides of clothing, but don't always photograph the insides of clothing, we try to but we sometimes forget. It is never a convenient forgetfulness to hide poor condition. 

I will be honest and say that I am a little impacted from a road crash in April 2015 and despite best intentions I can be forgetful. Sometimes I think I have answered a message or taken a photo but just haven't.

We offer full refunds on return to all customers who are not satisfied with their purchase and send us the item back as per our terms and conditions.

Terms and Conditions

1. Payment. Payment for items is required immediately. If we do not hear from you and do not receive payment, we will notify eBay to get the commission back. Please note we are ok to wait longer if you let us know.

2. Shipping. We post daily. Deliveries will usually be made via Royal Mail and if they have a higher value are likely to be shipped in a way which requires confirmation upon arrival. Delivery time and date is estimated and not a guarantee.

3. Couriers. Please note that we are willing to work with any courier available to collect from the Ashford area (TN24) and accept personal collection, providing the person arrives within reason when they say they will be there and doesn't keep fobbing us off with excuses. We are happy you check out who it is, if you think there is a saving we will gladly pass it back to you or knock it off the price.

We have supported next day delivery, birthdays, immediate post etc. It does not always show this or state this in the listings because if we state same day dispatch and then use untracked postage eBay holds the seller responsible for courier lateness if the buyer claims the item is late. We don't want to go out of business!

We can in the day time get to the myHermes drop off point (0.1 miles away) or Royal Mail (0.6 miles away) and thus access Royal Mail, Parcelforce or myHermes.  The likes of DPD, DHL and the United States Postal Service are drop-offs that are most likely available only in the evening due to distance.

Please note that we don't mind combining postage etc (get in touch, or request an invoice) but once the 2KG limit is hit, the price significantly rises and in some instances it may be that no courier will agree to take it if you live on a different continent.

4 "Buyer pays" Returns. Returns are accepted within 30 days of sale date. We expect customers to make best efforts to check size, read description, view photos etc. Please note items must be unworn and in original packaging with all tags attached, if that is how they arrived. Both return and original postage at buyer’s expense, unless otherwise agreed.

5. "Seller pays" Returns / Item Significantly Not as Described. Please note that a claim to eBay that an item "Doesn't work or is defective", "Doesn't match description of photos", is "Missing parts of pieces", "Arrived damaged" or "Doesn't seem authentic" is a roundabout way of telling eBay that the seller has mis-sold the item. Whilst we do make mistakes, we do expect that the buyer explains the difference between our advertisement and where appropriate takes a photograph or two, so that we can resolve the issue.

Like many sellers, we believe that is the buyer makes no attempt to show a case, provides no specifics, no photos and makes no effort to answer enquiries that this is buyer's remorse. If so, there may be no refund offered and we may report to eBay our view of the event. This may damage our standing and the buyer's standing and future ability to purchase and make claims, so it is not our preference.

6. Non-Delivery. We can assure you that we will at minimum meet all delivery standards promised to eBay on speed and cost to you. In addition to the specified service selected by the buyer we reserve the right to add scanned delivery, tracking, signed-for delivery or take any other steps to provide protection against fraud / theft. Please note that, unless you have paid for, or been promised a tracked postal service, then we will not routinely share information on specific parcels; obviously if an item not received claim is made we will dig out any and all proof of delivery/receipt should we have it, else refund in line with eBay policies.

7. Agreement. By committing to buy you have entered into the agreement of these terms.
