"Barrett"

I'm so excited to introduce Barrett, my new bear cub! At 24”, he is a huge hug of a bear :) He is such a sweet baby and I hope you will love him as much as I do!
Barrett was so enjoyable to create and photograph – so much fun to pose!
Barrett is a one of a kind artist bear cub completely designed and hand sewn (no machine sewing) by me, Melisa Nichols. He is very detailed and as such he is his own unique individual and can not be duplicated ~ a true one of a kind. Many, many hours went into this baby!
Because of all this detailed work, I will never be able to create another baby just like Barrett. I do not work with patterns - just from photos and drawings, so there is no pattern he can be remade from.
Barrett is made from gorgeous recycled pieced martin fur from a vintage jacket. This martin fur is a lot like mink, only with longer fur. All of this coat was used in Barrett, so he is definitely one-of-a-kind!
Barrett's adorable face is full of detail. He has an inset muzzle of recycled blonde mink fur and his face has been thread sculpted, scissor sculpted and hand shaded. He has soulful hand painted glass eyes. He also has moveable eyelids (top and bottom) so he can be posed awake, sleepy or sleep. I created a realistic hand shaded epoxy clay nose for him.
Barrett's leather paws are thread sculpted and hand shaded. I made him individual epoxy clay claws, painted and sealed them.
Barrett is completely hand sewn and filled with polyfil, pellets (in his tummy), and an extra portion of cuddles. Barrett is 5 way jointed with cotter pin and disk joints and he is fully armatured (including his tail) for lots of fun poses!

Barrett will arrive with hang tags that include his birth date, a picture of him and a signed Certificate of Authenticity. He is a collectable baby bear cub made for display only - not suitable for children due to small parts.
