KA-BAR - WW2 US "Parkerized Commando" Fighting Knife original sheath High condition. As found on page 161 of Mike Silvey's wonderful book Knives of the United States military WW2. A  KA-BAR - WW2 "Parkerized Commando" Knife. It is clamed(depending on who you listen to) that this knife was never issued, that they were private purchases. I have also read first hand accounts of early pilots saying they were being issued this knife. Also there is plenty of written word on how the military was buying any knives they could at the start of the war. This one has all the evidence of theater carry. Over all the knife is in high condition. The sheath is not so much, as you can see on the back of it. Issued or not this is a prime example for any collection.

This is one from a collection of WW 2 theater made and or modified knives as well as a few Viet Nam time frame private purchase knives I will be listing over the next couple of weeks. Will ship where legal outside the US for correct postage, and combined shipping is offered.

I would rather die than give you control.
