Common questions
Will Roku 2 work with my TV?
Roku 2 works with just about any HDTV right out of the box. You plug your Roku 2 directly into your TV with an HDMI® cable (included), and you can stream up to 1080p HD, providing a full HD streaming experience.
What do I need to set up?
Setting up your Roku 2 requires that you have a broadband Internet connection, a wireless router, power, and an HD TV. Once you have all of that sorted, just plug in and power up your Roku 2. On the Menu go to the Settings then Network and choose Wireless or Wired Ethernet (Recommended option - Ethernet Cable not included in the Box) to connect the box to your Internet. The Live Greek TV channels and Video on Demand come pre-installed and ready to use.
Do I need a Satellite Dish to be installed?
No. Roku uses the Internet to deliver streaming entertainment to your TV, so you'll need high-speed Internet service for the best experience. To see what your network speed is at home, go to http://www.speedtest.net on your computer and hit the "Begin Test" button—a quick test will run that measures your download speed in "Mbps" (megabits per second). Generally we recommend a network speed of at least 3 Mbps, but to view live events, like Football games, you'll want at least 4 Mbps. For Full HD viewing, we recommend 6 Mbps. We also recommend you connect your Roku with an Ethernet cable to the Ethernet port of your router.
Are there any monthly fees?
Our Roku 2 is delivered to you with 12 months subscription to Live Greek TV and 1000's of Videos on Demand included. This can be extended for a further 12 months for a small fee in 12 months time. Many other channels on Roku are completely free. Crackle, for example, is a movie channel that features hundreds of free Hollywood movies on demand. You'll find 1000+ others, covering virtually every category and genre using the build-in Channel Search facility.
A few premium channels, like Amazon Prime, NOW TV and Netflix, require that you have a monthly subscription with those services direct. For example, SKY SPORTS streaming subscription that provides access to Premier League Live Football requires a Day pass, a week pass or month pass that gives access through the Roku Box.
We do not charge any additional fees to watch subscription-based channels like SKY Sports or Netflix.
