Vintage Shimano Dura Ace STI Shifters - 8 speed rear x 2 speed front - ST-7400

These shifters have been completely overhauled and work crisply as if they were new. It has taken me a couple of years to master the disassembly and reassembly of these vintage Dura Ace shifters. I now have the process perfected and can now offer fully cleaned and relubricated top of the line Shimano Dura Ace ST-7400 from a bygone era. The typical used set of shifters one would find has very gummy grease which leads to poor shifting response.
A complete disassembly followed by a two step cleaning process has removed all grit, gum, varnish, and old grease that had made these previously inoperable. A fresh load of high quality lithium based grease has been applied and then the units have been reassembled. Bench testing has proven 100% functionality. Now that these have been reconditioned, they will work reliably for years.
Cosmetically, these shifters are B+ grade. A small degree of road rash is found on the chrome of both units which can be spotted in the photos. The painted handles have some minor scuffing, but no serious breaks in the paint is evident. The "Dura Ace" badges are not perfect, but very presentable. The hoods are in good shape with some wear that has removed the pebbling in areas, but still fit tight.
