This one of a kind Chinese Export textile is the best you'll find for sale.
This antique Chinese Foo Dog-Eagle embroidery shawl dates back to the 1920's when most Cantonese items were sold to the West.
It has a unique bright fuchsia color silk fabric background, with raised padded satin stitch hand embroidered work.
There are a variety of colorful peonies and cherry blossoms flowers, butterflies, along with the Imperial Guardian lion-foo dog protecting and attacking an eagle in the center medallion.
There is also a fabulous hand knotted multi-colored macrame silk tasseled fringe that measures approximately 7 in. long, surrounding the entire shawl. The back of the shawl is lined with a light blue silky satin fabric.
The shawl measures 42 in x 42 in.

Condition: Excellent cleaned condition, ready to be displayed.

Please look at the pictures carefully. It is part of the description. I am not an expert, but attempt to describe the items I sell as best of my ability. Condition of the item is my opinion.

This is truly a wonderful piece of early TWENTIETH CENTURY CHINESE EXPORT TEXTILE ART.
Good luck!
