I am selling my 2008 Fender FSR Hot Rod Jazz Bass in Olympic White. I purchased this new from Guitar Center and have used it sparingly as a backup to my primary bass. I have only taken it to a couple of indoor band rehearsals. This bass is in excellent condition, with only a minor nick through the finish on the bottom edge below the cable jack and a few other marks and indentations elsewhere on the body. I had the bass set up with La Bella flatwound strings when I first purchased it and have not changed them since that time. I am including the original G&G Vintage brown hardshell case and the case candy (including the two case keys) as pictured. The case is in overall excellent condition, but the gold plating is coming off the main latch and there are some incidental marks and normal wear and tear elsewhere (including the metal parts on the bottom of the case). All latches work well and it locks properly with the keys. The bass weighs nine pounds, six ounces on my digital shipping scale.
Even though the serial number shown on the back of the headstock indicates that this bass was made in 2006, this special run was made in 2008 (possibly with leftover necks from Fender). I entered the serial number on the Fender site and this is the result:
