Offered for auction is a 10” transparent celestial globe in really nice condition made by Trippensee in 1968, model number CG-412.  It measures approximately a 37” circumference and a 10” diameter.  It comes with the blue plastic stand and Teaching Aid  booklet.  The clear outer globe represents the stars and constellations, inside are the Earth and Sun are on moveable arms.

The constellation lettering is clear and uncompromised.  The earth turns freely using the knob in the center, the sun also turns but is not as easy to move.  There are a few scratches if you look very closely, and some evidence of glue around the center.

Included is the 16 page Trippensee Teaching Aid No. A-12.  This explains clearly how to use the Celestial Globe to study the stars and constellations.  There are some small stains on the cover and small holes from one staple, but the pages are clean and without writing, tears or folds.
