Please note NC-559-ASM flux is not Lead-free as suggested by some Chinese replicas here on eBay. "Lead-free" is a special designation by the standard (IPC) which indicates that flux has enough activity to wet lead-free alloys. Apart from the most recent AMTECH no-clean flux VS-213A-TF which is universal, all ROL0 fluxes NC-559-ASM/V2, SynTECH or RMA-223 require special LF version to wet lead-free alloys. 

Original NC-559-ASM/V2 and all RMA-223 fluxes would contain UV tracer yet no indication of UV on packaging, if you see UV on a package - it is not original.

All fluxes with TPF extension also are not original, AMTECH doesn't use Tacky Paste Flux (TPF) extension or UV on a package, AMTECH manufactures Paste and Flux separately, it is easy to verify technical data sheets on INVENTEC or AMTECH DIRECT websites - there are no TPF or UV extensions on any product.

Why UV-tracer and why cleaning a no-clean flux? Besides cosmetic reasons, excessive flux may cause voltage leakage on circuits with high impedance, also not activated flux is considered a contaminant and may cause corrosion - flux naturally absorbs moisture from the air and corrosion is just a matter of time. UV-tracer removes all guesswork as it immediately exposes contaminants in UV light (even basic UV-torch from the convenience store will suffice).

As per AMTECH technical data-sheets, all original fluxes are packaged in 10cc, 30cc, 75g jars, 150g jars and 340g cartridge (available upon request). Jars are more economical and more suitable for application with a brush. AMTECH doesn't do 100g packaging - those are Chinese replicas. Majority of listings sold here on eBay are knock-offs - attempts to re-engineer AMTECH formulas or simply counterfeit and contrafact products sold for a fraction of a cost of a real AMTECH product.

Application

NC-559-ASM-TF is formulated for the syringe, stencil printing, and rework applications on all PCB surface finishes. NC-559-ASM-TF may be used for BGA sphere attachment and reballing. NC-559-ASM-TF is also designed to work on all flip chip bumping and chip scale packaging sites.

Cleaning 

No-clean tacky flux that can be left on the board for many SMT assemblies. For applications requiring cleaning NC-559-ASM-TF can be cleaned using commercially available flux residue removers such as INVENTEC Promoclean™ and Promosolv™ cleaning chemistries.

Storage and Handling

Tacky flux should be stored at room temperature (20-25 °C). Syringes and cartridges should be stored vertically with the dispensing tip down. Properly stored tacky flux has a 12-month shelf life.

NWS-4200-6-TF water-soluble tacky flux - meet the strongest flux in AMTECH's armory - ORH1 classification with extra 6% chlorides - used for industrial oxide-free soldering. NWS-4200-6-TF removes oxidation however it is highly corrosive itself - cleaning is paramount.
