Opel Manta 2.0XE redtop 16V rally car. This is an out and out rally car and with a little work would be ready to rally. It is a fully strengthed shell, large gearbox tunnel with quick release for gearbox removal. Full safety devices roll cage with diagonal and detachable door bars. It has 400 fibreglass bonnet, 400 three piece boot spoiler and fibreglass doors with perspex sideglass. Fitted with twin headlamps, professional wiring loom and heated front screen. Dash adjustable brake bias and hydraulic hand brake. Front brakes are AP racing alloy 4 pot calipers with vented discs and rear brakes are single pot AP racing calipers one of which needs new seals in. Seats are Magnum professional kevlarin good condition and passenger seat has quick release buckle harness but drivers seat requires new harness. It has 3kg plumbed in fire eatersystem and is fitted with a Brantz Tripmaster computer. Front wheels Minilite llookalikes on the front and 15x8 Compomotive on the front.There are 2 fuel pumps fitted in boot with a centrally mounted fuel tank which is fully fire walled, all cut off with extinguisher switches inside and out. It has a Mountney steering wheel, push button start and is fully fused and relayed. It has 2 ignitin systems and a spare ECU.

The engine is a Vauxhal X2.0XE Redtop engine with lots of torque and picks up very quickly. I was told it has uprated pistons, cams, comp clutch etc, but i have not stripped it to confirm. Twin Dellorto 45s on a MBE manifold, twin throttle linkage and 4 trumpet sock air filters. It has a 13 row oil cooler with a high pressure pump. it has a 4 branch exhaust manifold and mapped ignition system.

The gearbox is a Quaife Ford straight cut 4 speed box with an alloy Ford to Vauxhall bell housing with aQuaife all steel rose jointed gearlever. rear axle is a ZF limited slip diff low ratio. Apparently it is low ratio 5.1 and the axle is fitted with adjustable link bars. The brake lines are Aeroquip throughout the car and the front and rear shocks are Bilsteins with lowered springs all round. It has a 2.5 quick rack fitted, single piece prop, navigator footrest, air horns, electric cooling fans, full length sump guard,  etc, etc. With a few hours work this car will be ready to go. It has been raced and rallied so do not expect an immaculate road car but the body condition is quite good. The car has the V5 and RAC MSA logbook. We are based 2 miles from junction 2 M6/M69 and any inspection is welcome but we are not experts on rally cars but will answer questions as honestly as i can.
