Hi All, I bought this MAP 496 in April of this year from an Aviation Store here on ebay. It was slightly used as a "Demo" unit by the store but looks and works like new...it's perfect!!! As you can see I paid $1600.00 for it on 4/11/2011, see the receipt photo's. After reading reviews on the new 696 which were not good at all, I decided on this one. Most of the reviewers said they wish they had their 496 back. Everything is included and in perfect shape. So why am I selling after only 5 months...I can't fly anymore, plain and simple. I was a low time pilot to start with and my health now prevents me from getting a medical. Believe me I'm not happy with having to do this. There are a few other 496's listed and I need to sell mine so I'm pricing it to sell. As you can see I'll loose quite a bit of $$$ on this deal but that's how it goes sometimes! Anything over the starting bit will take it...no reserve!!! Thanks for looking and don't hesitate to contact me with any questions. If your looking at this GPS to buy then I presume you know the specs, if you don't then check out some of the others, they have them listed. Mine is EXACTLY the same! The software version is 4.50, the latest version for the 496 which was released in April of this year also. This unit is ready to fly!!!
