Die PowerBeam fokussiert die Sendeleistung in einem engem Abstrahlwinkel. Durch die Bündelung in eine Richtung blockiert oder filtert die PowerBeam Störgeräusche und verbessert somit die Rauschunempfindlichkeit. Diese Funktion ist besonders wichtig in Umgebungen mit anderen Signalen auf der selben Frequenz oder benachbarten Frequenzen.

Die PowerBeam gibt es in zwei Bauformen:

• All-in-one Design:

Das Ubiquiti Entwicklungsteam hat die Sendeeinheit sowie die Antenne in einem kompakten Endgerät kombiniert. Die NanoBeam bietet maximalen Antennengewinn bei geringer Größe.

• Dish Reflector Design:

Ubiquitis InnerFeed™ Technologie integriert die Sendeeinheit im Antennenfeed, so dass kein Antennenkabel mehr benötigt wird. Dadurch wird die Leistung verbessert, da keine Kabelverluste vorhanden sind. Die verbesserte Performance durch den schnelleren Prozessor und das verbesserte mechanische Design macht die PowerBeam extrem vielseitig und leicht und kostengünstig installierbar.

airMAX Technologie
Anders als bei Standard WLAN Protokollen ermöglicht Ubiquitis Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) airMAX Protokoll jedem Clienten das Senden und Empfangen von Daten über vordefinierte Time Slots, gesteuert durch einen intelligenten Controller.
Diese "time slot" Methode verhindert unnötige Datenkollisionen und maximiert die WLAN Effektivität. Dadurch erfolgt eine signifikante Verbesserung der Leistung bei Latenz, Durchsatz und Skalierbarkeit im Vergleich zu anderen Systemen dieser Klasse.

Innovatives mechanisches Design

• Eingebaute mechanische Neigung: Die Halterung bietet 20° Neigung nach oben und unten
• schneller Zusammenbau: Die Anzahl der Verschlusselemente wurde für einen einfacheren und schnelleren Zusammenbau verringert. Werkzeuge sind nur bei einer Mastmontage erforderlich.
• Einfache Demontage: Der Antennenfeed kann mit einem einfachen Knopfdruck entfernt werden.

Korrosionsbeständigkeit

• Befestigungsteile von GEOMET®- beschichtet für verbessertem Korrosionschutz im Vergleich zu verzinkten Befestigungselementen
• Dish und Halterung: hergestellt aus galvanisiertem pulverbeschichtetem Stahl für besondere Korrosionsbeständigkeit
• neugestaltete Masthalterung für die 400mm Dish Antenne und Schutzbleche und Unterlegscheiben für die 300mm Dish Antenne verhindern, dass Farbe von den Metallhalterungen abplatzt und verbessern die Korrosionsbeständigkeit.

Improved Noise Immunity
The PowerBeam directs RF energy in a tighter beamwidth. With the focus in one direction, the PowerBeam blocks or spatially filters out noise, so noise immunity is improved. This feature is especially important in an area crowded with other RF signals of the same or similar frequency.

Integrated Design
The PowerBeam models are available in two form factors:

• All-in-One Design:
  The Ubiquiti Research and Development team combined the radio and antenna to create a more efficient and compact CPE. The NanoBeam gets maximum gain out of the smallest footprint.

• Dish Reflector Design:
  Ubiquiti’s InnerFeed™ technology integrates the radio into the feedhorn of an antenna, so there is no need for a cable. This improves performance because it eliminates cable losses. Providing increased performance from its faster processor and innovative mechanical design at a low cost, the PowerBeam is extremely versatile and cost-effective to deploy.

Unlike standard Wi-Fi protocol, Ubiquiti’s Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) airMAX protocol allows each client to send and receive data using pre-designated time slots scheduled by an intelligent AP controller.

This “time slot” method eliminates hidden node collisions and maximizes airtime efficiency. It provides significant performance improvements in latency, throughput, and scalability compared to all other outdoor systems in its class.

• Intelligent QoS: Priority is given to voice/video for seamless streaming.
• Scalability: High capacity and scalability.
• Long Distance: Capable of high-speed, carrier-class links.

Innovative Mechanical Design

• Built-in mechanical tilt: The mounting bracket conveniently offers 20° of uptilt and up to 20° of downtilt.
• Quick assembly: The number of fasteners was reduced to simplify assembly. Tools are required only when the technician mounts the NanoBeam on the pole.
• Easy removal: The antenna feed can be detached with the push of a button.

Corrosion Resistance

• Fasteners GEOMET®-coated for improved corrosion resistance when compared with zinc-plated fasteners.
• Dish and brackets: Made of galvanized steel that is powder coated for superior corrosion resistance.
  Redesigned pole bracket for the 400 mm dish and fender washers for the 300 mm dish prevent paint from being removed from the metal brackets for improved corrosion resistance.
