The most common way to fight duckweed is to scoop it out daily and keeping the water clean. However, this method proves impractical with large water bodies where large surface of water is covered with the growth of unwanted plants.

NBS TASIK provides a simple, safe and effective method to prevent duckweed infestation. This especially formulated duckweed buster works by improving the water chemistry and absorbing the excessive nutrients on which the duckweed survives. NBS TASIK is an easy to use and safe duckweed removal product that places no restrictions on water usage after application. The treated water is safe for the livestock to drink. Although, the product application is not directly harmful for the fish, it would be wise to treat half of the water body at one time. It helps to reduce the amount of dead weed, as the decaying organic waste uses up lots of oxygen.

How to Use

Product is to be used in two applications: -

1st application: Use half of the product for 1,000,000L

2nd application: If duckweed persists, then use the other half after 4 weeks.

Add NBS TASIK to tap or lake water in a bucket use 1 part product to 10 parts water this pre-wets the powder and prevents it floating on the surface. If product is on top of duckweed use water from a hose pipe to push the pre-wetted powder into your lake water.

As this is a biological product the bacteria will reproduce slower in the winter months and reach their maximum growth rate when the water temperature is above 10°C.

Retreat after 4 weeks if necessary. Stop treatment when lake is clear.

Due to the many different varieties of aquatic plants and lake water conditions in different lakes we cannot guarantee that this product will not affect some aquatic plants.
