I am the original owner of this beautiful and critically acclaimed SONY A65. I am EXTEMELY careful with all the electronic equipment I own. I keep all my equipment in pristine condition because (1) I value the investment I put into my personal things and (2) I know that I am always upgrading my photo equipment and I want the next owner to have the best used product they can buy. I just upgraded to a CANON 5D MARK III Infrared Converted camera. So, I no longer need this great SONY A65 camera . Keep in mind that I have a side business as a professional wedding/portrait photographer and the MARK III is a huge investment. If you can afford it, then get it. But this SONY A65 is amazing! In fact, many years ago, I started offering Infrared Photos to weddings and models with a converted Rebel XT (sold it), then a Rebel T1i, then I upgraded to this SONY A65 (a great investment). It has paid off MANY times. This camera is only one year old and I have only taken about 2,000 shutter counts. So, if you are a profressional or just getting started in infrared, then this is a FANTASTIC camera that will provide you with a unique offering to customers. There are many books on Infrared Photography on Amazon (including several on portrait and wedding photography). That's how I started and now I am hooked and, best of all, profitable. Even if you are an amateur, INFRARED will introduce you to a hidden beautiful world that NO OTHER method will give you. WHAT DOES THE SUPER COLOR IR FILTER OFFER? Only AMAZING results! I sent this A65 and got it professionally converted. I chose a SUPER COLOR IR Filter (which is the equivalent to a 590nm IR Filter). This is the most versatile filter of them all and why I chose it (trust me, I have years of experience). Many years ago, in my former Rebel XT and T1i I had a standard 720nm filter which gave me Black and White IR images and, possibly, with some tweaking, very faint blues in some images. But with the installed SUPER COLOR IR FILTER I can create stunning INFARED color images AND I can still get those amazing black and white images with glowing white trees like the 700nm+ filters. With a SUPER COLOR IR FILTER in the camera, you can also use higher specturm filters on the outside of your lens(like the 650nm, 720nm, 850,nm and 950nm) outside your lens and you will get the REAL natural effects of the IR Filters. So, having a SUPER COLOR IR FILTER is truly the most versatile choice for IR Filter conversions (and why I chose it). You get the best of all near-infrared worlds! The camera has also been lens calibrated for universal support of any lens you may have. Also, although I have never tried it, I hear ASTROPHOTOGRAPHY is amazing with the Super Color INFRARED Filter, too! AN INCREDIBLE VALUE!
