Up for auction is this wonderful set of vintage pottery that I recently found at an estate sale. I am not an expert on pottery so I will do the best to describe. The jug stands about 8 1/2 inches tall. It is beige in color with green and brown. I was told that the top is referred to as sponge art. There is a tree on the front with green foliage and brown branches and tree trunk. The side of the jug has been signed by the artist, however I can not make out the name. I took a picture of the signature, maybe someone will recognize it. The flower pot/planter is beige with colorful fern/thumb print? colors of red, brown, blue, black, green. It stands about 4 inches high with an opening of 4 3/4 inches wide. Both pieces are marked on the bottom. I can see USA and Roseville, Ohio, however there is also a large "S" in the middle of another symbol, maybe a "P" or "H". Not sure, so please check out the pictures. Again, I am not an expert on these items but they are in wonderful condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. Nice addition to your vintage pottery collection. Thanks for looking!
