ZENZA BRONICA 120 film back with dark slide.

Loading Instructions.

Insert the dark slide into the Bronica's film back if the back already is attached to the camera. You cannot take the film back off the camera if the dark slide is not in it. Holding the camera with the back toward you, insert the dark slide in the slot near the union of the film back and the camera.

Push the film-back release button on the top-left side of the film back. This will only detach the film back if the dark slide already is in place. Remove the film back from the camera.

Press the two buttons toward each other in the directions indicated by the arrows on the top of the film back. This opens the film back so you can get the film insert out. You need the film insert and a take-up film reel to load the Bronica camera.

Push the empty film reel toward the left so you can take it out. This will be the reel the last roll of film was wound from. If you do not have one, you will need to get one. They are available at camera stores and from online websites. Pop out the two reel holders on the same side of the film back. They are on either side of the film back's designation, either "120" or "220." Switch the empty reel to the other film spool location and snap in the reel holder.

Open a new roll of 120 or 220 film, then break the tape holding it firm. Insert the film roll into the open reel slot with the leader toward the top. Close the reel holder. Unroll the film leader backward across the flat film plane surface and bring it back up the other side. Insert the leader into the empty take-up reel. Use the winding wheel on the side of the film insert to wind film or leader onto the empty reel. Line up the "Start" mark on the film with the red line on the film reel side. Return the insert to the film back, close it up and reattach it to your Bronica camera.

Turn off the multiple exposure button on the right side of the camera. Start winding the main Bronica wind lever until a "1" appears in the small window on the right-top of the film back. You are ready to shoot.
