How We Care:
Disassembly:
The compressor’s hub, pulley, bearing, coil, flappers, pistons, body and nose seals are removed.
Clean Parts:
· The compressor’s internal and external components are manually washed with a non-flammable solutions.
Rebuild process:
· The compressor’s pulley and hub are lathed for proper alignment and the bearing is replaced with a new one as needed.
· The compressor’s internal components are oiled and assembled back into the carcass.
· New body and nose seals are replaced.
Leak & Function Test:
· Using 150 psi of compressed air, the compressor is tested under water for 15 minutes minimum.
· 2 oz. of PAG oil are added to the compressor and the compressor is mounted on an electric motor in order to test for high and low pressures.
Paint:
· The coil, clutch hub and pulley are painted with a black gloss paint that is resistant to high temperatures.
· The body of the compressor is painted with a matte aluminum paint that is resistant to high temperatures.
Final Assembly:
· The coil, pulley and clutch hub are placed back on the compressor.
· The clutch hub is tested in order to ensure proper spacing between the hub and pulley for compressor to engage and disengage accordingly.
· The compressor is then shrink wrapped and boxed for shipping.
PLUGS/SENSORS & MANIFOLDS:
Let us know if you do not have the original compressor on your vehicle. On some units you will need to use the original coil plugs or sensors, connectors & manifolds. There are many different types of plugs on the coil connections. Most of the time, you will have to use the original plug from your unit.
Warranty:
All remanufactured compressors are backed with a 180 day warranty. If you receive a malfunctioning compressor we will replace the compressor or give you your money back! Note: The compressor’s warranty will be voided if the compressor is contaminated or damaged due to improper installation.
Important:
When replacing an A/C Compressor, we strongly recommend that the following steps are taken to ensure that the compressor does not malfunction or is damaged:
· Flush the system
· Add the correct amount of refrigerant oil (e.g. PAG 46, 100, 150)
· Replace the Accumulator or Drier
· Replace the Condenser (if required)
· Replace Expansion Valve or Orifice Tube
**FAILURE TO DO THE ABOVE MAY CAUSE SYSTEM FAILURE AND VOID YOUR WARRANTY**
