Der Innenring wird während der Produktion aufwendig gerändelt und dannach wird erst der Innenring mit dem Kunststoff verbunden. Dadurch verhindert man Loslösen des Rollenmantels vom Innenring bei Temperatureinfluss, was leider bei günstigen Variomatikrollen oftmals der Fall ist. Der hohe PTFE-Anteil (Polytetrafluorethylen) im Aussenmantel sorgt für gute Selbstschmierung und damit langer Haltbarkeit. Die gleitenden Eigenschaften des PTFE sorgen zusätzlich für ein sauberes Verschalten der Variomatik.
