A smaller, lighter design for ultimate portability
Our Action Cam Mini won’t weigh you down. The slender, splashproof design is about two-thirds the size of our previous Action Cams – so there’s less wind pressure when you’re filming. Recording’s easy, too: the Action Cam Mini can be operated with simple buttons on the side of the housing – even while wearing gloves.
Live-View Remote for easy, creative control (sold separately)
When you’re in the midst of the action, get the exact shot you’re after. Just strap the supplied Live-View Remote to your wrist and connect with Wi-Fi to remotely start/stop recording and access camera mode settings – you can control up to five Action Cams at once. You don’t have to worry about a bit of water either: the Live-View Remote works to depths of 3 metres2 and even uses GPS to track where you are.
SteadyShot beats bumps and blur
From the rockiest trail to the wildest surf – you want to shoot crisp, clear video your audience will actually enjoy watching. SteadyShot normalises the oscillation that the image has on the sensor – this means motion blur and noise levels are reduced, even in low light.
XAVC S for high bit rate recording
The high-bit-rate XAVC S format is provided for serious videographers. Enjoy Full HD image recording at 50Mbps for extremely high-quality expression and minimal noise. It also employs the Long GOP (Group of Pictures) data compression method to realize efficient movie recording.

120fps at HD resolution for super slo-mo video
Broaden your expressive options. When shooting movies in the APS-C (Super 35mm equivalent) crop mode, this camera supports high-frame-rate 120fps shooting at HD resolution (1280 x 720 pixels). Movies shot at this frame rate can be played back in 30p – the true cinematic frame rate – creating stunning 4x slow-motion effects that capture every movement in precise detail.

Action Cam Movie Creator for pro functions and easy editing
Make your movies look even better with Action Cam Movie Creator. Produce and edit videos quickly and easily thanks to a range of features such as GPS Data Overlay and super slo-mo video. You can also flip your videos clockwise or counter clockwise by 90˚ with Movie Rotation, or use Multi View to combine up to four movie footage segments – captured simultaneously by different cameras – and make a split-screen composite.3
GPS Data Overlay tracks your adventures

One-touch remote and one-touch sharing
One-touch remote lets you use your smartphone or tablet as a viewfinder and remote control for a digital camera, and one-touch sharing lets you transfer your photos and videos from your camera. Either way, by installing PlayMemories Mobile app to your NFC enable Android smartphone or tablet, you can avoid complex set-up sequences and establish wireless connection simply by touching your device to the camera. You are now ready to control your camera from your smartphone to take a photo from a previously out-of-reach spot, or simply be in your own group shot, as well as transfer them instantly to your smartphone for sharing on SNS. No NFC? No problem. You can also pair the devices manually.
Wi-Fi gives you wireless freedom
Easily transfer movies and more from your Action Cam to your Android or iOS smartphone or tablet by simply connecting to Wi-Fi. Then quickly upload your videos to your favourite websites and social media networks so friends and family can see the action.
Burst Shooting
Capture fast-moving action with burst shooting. Simply activate this dedicated setting and you’ll be able to take a maximum of 10 high-quality shots at intervals of 1, 2 or 5 seconds. Tally light lets you know you’re recording
This Action Cam features a second tally light on top of the camera, in addition to the light on the unit. Now you can easily check the recording status from various angles.
Interval still shooting lets you get creative with videos
Capture subtle movement with detail and precision. Interval recording takes a still photo every 5, 10, 30 or 60 seconds, so they can be stitched together into a time-lapse video. This is especially useful for continuous recording over a prolonged period.
Record your way with dual memory formats
Store your memories the way you want. Record to your choice of either Memory Stick Micro™ (Mark 2) or Micro SD/SDHC (Class 4 or higher). Those wanting to capture footage in the high bit rate XAVC S format can also record directly to a SDXC card.
