Here's an extremely nice Wisner Traditional 4x5 field camera. This camera, serial #006, features hand-rubbed, oil varnished mahogany construction and is one of the earliest Traditionals made (likely 1988 or '89); you may have heard that, sadly, Wisner quality control slipped badly before the company's 2006 demise (that beautiful big brass tripod mounting base is not to be found on later production cameras). The hardware is brass, and the camera back, with its ground glass insert, can be positioned for horizontal or vertical placement. Each of the silky-smooth locks and controls function as designed and the burgundy kid leather, silk lined bellows is light-tight. The 150mm f5.6 Schneider-Kreuznach Symmar-S lens (serial #13960413) is just as nice as the camera, with no fog, fungus, scratches or cleaning marks, and as you can see from the last photo, is a Sinar select lens (the lens had to meet not only Schneider standards but also Sinar's!). The Copal #0 shutter speeds sound spot-on, although I have no means of machine-testing shutter speed accuracy. With a clear plastic ground glass protector, front and rear lens caps, an original Wisner lens board drilled for a Copal #0 shutter, a new in the package cable release, and three new-in-the-box Graflex Riteway 4x5 sheet film holders (box is somewhat shop-worn, but the holders are unused). About 13 lbs packed for safe shipment from zip 55047. International bidders welcome, but must remit, if successful, via PayPal, in U.S. funds. I ship once a week (assuming payment has been made), on Thursdays. If payment is not received within 5 days of auction's end, the item will be relisted and eBay notified of nonpaying bidder. If you cannot abide this policy, please don't bid. Check my feedback and bid with confidence.
