We offer this stunning and rare aesthetic movement Watcombe redware vase designed by Christopher Dresser and dating from between 1880 and 1884. The finely made small rounded bulbous vase stands on a narrow rounded foot with a squat shaped body with incised petal shaped and other stylized designs relief moulded to the body and set against a rough cast ground. The vase has a narrow neck with a bowl top with similar designs relief carved around the top. The vase is spot clear glazed highlighting the designs with turquoise glaze applied to the inside and has printed and incised marks to the base.
