Pumice is a naturally occurring volcanic rock with a sponge like structure and mildly abrasive qualities. Bolgers Pumice Powders have high purity making them well suited to facial, body and foot scrubs.  

FFF grade pumice powder is a popular choice for facial scrubs, and for other body areas where a mild exfoliating action is required, where the fine particles help remove dead and rough skin cells leaving it fresh and rejuvenated. When added to bar soaps the powder adds extra cleaning properties to help remove ingrained dirt from the hands.

Pumice is ground to a fine powder from the raw material and then graded according to the size of the particles. All pumice powders will contain a variety of particle sizes and it is the range of these particles which determine the abrasive qualities of the powder. 80% of Bolgers FFF grade pumice has particle sizes less than 44 microns (325 mesh) and no particles are greater than 88 microns (170 mesh). The pumice is rigorously quality controlled by our chosen manufacturer to ensure consistent particle sizes are met and, therefore, consistent results are achieved.
