If you have been searching for a real roman sword, you have finally found it.

This sword is a historically accurate reproduction of the sword that was carried by the Roman Elite. The blade is made from high carbon steel and has over 100 layers for strength and durability. The hilt is made from 2 types of hardwood - the pommel & guard are made from ebony, while the handle itself is oak. Bronze is used on the front of the guard and on the tip of the pommel.

Made of high-quality Damascus Steel, folded four times, and hand-etched with a special process that makes the distinctive Damascus pattern stand out. Each blade is slightly different, enhancing the unique quality. Hand crafted with attention to detail down to the knurling of the ebony wood handle that specifically fits the Venetian grip that Roman soldiers used. The etching of the patterns that are a distinctive part of Damascus steel make this blade come alive. Metal fittings that protect the wood of the handguard are bronze. The pommel and tang are top-notch. Perfectly balanced with a center of gravity about 3.5 inches down the blade from the handguard. The blade is 20.5 inches long (52.07 cm) with a full tang that is 7.5 inches long. The handle is 3.5 inches long (8.9 cm). The patination process takes roughly 20 man hours per sword, and all the work is done with the utmost care and respect by hand.

All parts of this sword are hand made in the USA. Master blacksmiths craft the blade, while precision equipment is used to form & fit the different components of the hilt.
