This book is a 1939 first edition by the author of the well known book "The Little Prince".  Stated on front flap of dust jacket is "Special lower-priced edition for a limited time only". Price on the rear flap is blacked out (dislike!) but if I angle it just right under bright light, I can make out $1.59.

Book and dust jacket are in very good condition. Boards are blue patterned cloth with gilt text. There is some light rubbing along the edges and corners.  Some gilt loss along the spine. Prior owner's name plate on front pastedown and gift inscription on the title page. Dust jacket is protected by a mylar cover but I can see a 1/4" tear on the rear bottom, and a 1/8" tear on the rear top. Lite spotting and shelf wear.  Content pages are clean with no writing, tears, stains or creases. Mild yellowing. Binding is tight and hinges are unbroken. Nice collectible book.
