At the end of last month, DJ supergroup Apollonia - AKA French trio Dan Ghenacia, Dyed Sondorom and Shonky - set out on the kind of epic world tour that would make U2 blush. The excuse is this debut album, an expansive trawl through their shared techno, tech-house and deep house influences. Predictably, it's an undeniably floor-friendly set, with tracks like "Mercato" and the warming "Piano" joining the dots between chugging main room fare and an altogether more musically rich style. There are occasional downtempo or ambient interludes, of course, but for the most part this is music to dance to. Interestingly, fellow French producers Philip Zdar and Alexkid lent a hand with the production.
