Weather Station with Atomic Clock by Maverick Model WS-1000
This unit previously sold on Williams Sonoma for around $130.
I didn't want to open the box up, but I had no other way to take photos. The unit is new in the box, but I had to break a piece of tape keeping the box closed and take the components out of their (open) plastic bags. I put it back together the way in which I found it.
Unit consists of:
Clock / Main Unit - plugs into wall and has 4 AAA battery backup
Wireless Temperature / Humidity Transmitter - runs on 2 AA batteries
Wireless Rain Gauge Transmitter - runs on 2 AA batteries. Mount the rain gauge on a level surface.
From the directions:
The local weather forecast and weather tendency are predicted using the rate of change in atmospheric pressure determined by a precisely calibrated pressure sensor. After turning the unit on for the first time, it takes 24 hours for the weather forecasting data to be calculated for the first time. After 25 hours, the unit calculates the weather for the next 6 hours.
