Offered for sale is this rare, very large American Brilliant period green cut to clear and engraved glass dresser jar. It is much larger than a typical dresser jar. The glass was probably made by Stevens & Williams. The sterling silver repousse lid was made by the well regarded New York based maker Redlich. It also carries retailer Bailey, Banks & Biddle marks. The jar is beautiful. There is a monogram on the lid. Please contact me with any questions and please excuse the white spots/camera glare in the pictures.
SIZE: The glass body is approximately 6.25 inches diameter. The mouth of the glass jar is 4.5 inches diameter.
CONDITION: There is no damage to the glass, just a few light shelf scratches on the bottom. There are a few dings on the widest part of the sterling lid, and a tiny hole at the tip of one high point on the lid - the pen is pointing to this in the close up picture.
MARKS: Redlich hallmark and Bailey Banks & Biddle marks on the lid as shown.
