Other information
"Kate Middleton may have been using venom from New Zealand bees as a face treatment ahead of her wedding.
The royal bride is reported to have taken the beauty tip from Prince William's stepmother, the Duchess of Cornwall.
The Bee Venom Mask, supposedly an alternative to botox, was credited last year with making Camilla, 63, look years younger.
The cream is said to work by gently stinging the skin, leaving a tingling sensation and causing the body to direct blood flow to the area. It claims to stimulate the production of collagen and elastin, which reduce wrinkles by relaxing and strengthening the muscles.
The cream is also mixed with New Zealand Manuka honey, shea butter and rose and lavender oils.
Used twice a day for 20 minutes, the bee treatment can apparently knock up to 10 years off facial appearance."

Royal Nectar

Nelson Honey’s Royal Nectar is formulated for a rapid anti-ageing effect. A soothing blend of waxes and oils, Royal Nectar’s face mask includes two products from New Zealand - Manuka honey and bee venom. It is the bee venom that will gently stimulate your facial muscles to tighten and firm the skin, reducing the effects of your frown and laughter lines.

The bee venom acts as an anaesthetic on the muscles in the face. It puts them into the same state as botox but by increasing the energy in the tissues not decreasing them, and that is a very important difference,
The effect is as if you are taking your face to the gym for a toning, facial workout. The Manuka Honey then has a refining effect and stimulates skin tissue to produce new collagen and elasten, the combined effect of these two ingredients really is quite wonderful.

Apply Royal Nectar daily as part of your skin care routine. Leave on for 20 minutes, wash off then apply Royal Nectar Moisturiser.

A test patch application is recommended for first use. We suggest application using a clean spatula or cotton ball.

Ingredients: Bee venom, Aqua, Manuka Honey, Rose water, Lannett wax, Tocopherol, Beeswax, Avocado Oil, Apricot Kernel, Easyliance, Rosehip, Evening Primrose oil, Optiphen, Elyese Cocoa Butter, Tixican, Marshmallow extract, Lavender.

Available in a 50ml pot.

How Does Bee Venom Cream Work?

For centuries, bee honey has been praised for its health and beauty benefits, not to mention its sweet, succulent taste. Honey is not the only beauty gift from our buzzing, black and yellow friends. Royal jelly, a food-like substance used to nourish developing queen bees, is known for its high vitamin and protein content and is also used in several skin creams. But what most people don’t know about bees is that their venom can also aid in the quest for a younger-looking face.
Bee venom: A recent breakthrough in anti-aging due to its restorative properties, is said to stimulate the skin and relax muscles that cause the dreaded wrinkles. It works by gently stinging the skin with melittin and apamin, both derived from bee venom. The skin reacts as if it has been stung, thereby jumpstarting the production of elastin and collagen, which are essential to youthful-looking skin. The bee venom acts by “tricking” the skin to produce these naturally occuring proteins.

What Are The Advantages of Bee Venom Treatments?

• One major advantage of bee venom creams is that it requires absolutely no needles, which is a big plus for those who are scared about injections in the face. Botox, the tried-and-tested face relaxer, requires needle injections. Since bee venom treatments are topically applied, they are painless and non-invasive.

• Bee-venom is natural, which makes it ideal for those who are sceptical of using artificial chemicals, let alone a toxin, on their faces.

Users of bee venom treatments will also still be able to make natural-looking facial expressions, whereas Botox injections tend to make the face look more “frozen,” sometimes leaving the patient unable to express their emotions with prolonged use. Bee venom claims to smooth out wrinkles, without the fake look of Botox injections.
