The DTM championship is an intense German race which pits touring cars against one another. These cars are designed to exacting standards laid out by the race rules. Every vehicle has to be under a certain cost and be the same wheelbase, length, width and weight as all the other cars. For the 2011 season AMG Mercedes concentrated on optimizing the engine.
