Here we have a perfect upgrade for your VW, Seat or Skoda. Using the impressive Welcome To VW user interface (you can also change to Skoda or SEAT). An excellent all round head unit that really gives that perfect factory look. Running on the powerful ARM Cortex A7 processor, this is right up to speed.

Official Kudos Sat-Nav Mapping: Sat Nav provided with Officially Licensed Kudos Navigation. This offers UK and Western European with full postcode search, lane guidance,  junction view, a speed camera database and detailed maps in 2D and 3D view. Also TTS (Text To Speech) is supported in some European countries (sadly not the UK yet). Vibrant, colourful and accurate mapping is the ideal choice to help you navigate your way around without any stress.  PLUS this unit features Dual GPS Zone Functionality. This will allow the driver to have the navigation showing on the car monitor and if you have, say two DVD headrest screens in the back, then you can have the rear passengers watching a DVD whilst you the driver concentrates on his navigation screen and the road. The additional screens are of course sold separately and we have a huge range to offer.

Android Screen Mirroring: With the screen mirroring function you can connect your Android Smart Phone (min requirement: must be models above Android 4.0 and have a quad-core processor) and share any content to be mirrored directly onto the head units screen. You will have 2-way control with no delay on video playback or games. You can also connect your Smart Phones USB cable to the head unit for a solid connection or you can do it via WiFi. Audio files need to be done via Bluetooth. 

Canbus Design: This unit is not only compatible with Canbus models but it will actually work with it. With the dual Canbus decoder it will link with your on-board display, the unit has the "Trip Computer" view where you can view your car information such as oil temperature, battery voltage, fuel levels, door opening and the seat belt check on the head unit.

Built-in Bluetooth and Phonebook Function: The DVD player comes equipped with built-in Bluetooth and phonebook function, you can sync the phonebook from your mobile phone to this unit and then make hands-free mobile phone operation conveniently and quickly. You can also enjoy wireless music playback from your Bluetooth device. It has the VAG quadlock wiring loom complete with the can-bus decoder and also the aerial adaptor (non-amped aerial lead, if you have the amplified aerial then you will require part number JES-AL069). PLUS if you have a non-CANbus VAG application, there is an ISO connector for universal fitment, you will just require an adaptor harness for plug and play. The item has the GPS aerial for the Sat Nav included.

*At ATD, although we would like to avoid using phrases like Plug and Play, we know that installation is not always this simple especially with vehicles from the VW Audi group, these units are supplied with the most common antenna connection however there are many variations of antenna setup depending on the OEM unit removed, it is always best to check which connections you require before fitting the stereo so you can order any additional accessories. Please be sure to purchase a good adapter from a trusted source as there are many that claim to be amplified but are little more than a few resistors and a diode or capacitor.

USER INTERFACE

Keep it looking original with the factory logo appearance user interface. All the elements of an after-market multi-media on what looks like a factory fitted system. You can choose VW, Skoda or SEAT here as the display logo.

Once you enter into the menu of the head unit you will be greated with a simple, nicely applied touch screen choice menu. Look at all the options here, loads of ways to play music.

With most VW, Seat and Skoda applications after 2009, you can view your car information on the head unit. Keep tabs on your battery voltage and fuel levels.

SD card is just one of the ways to listen or watch media on this head unit. ID tags are shown on the head unit if assigned so you can view your track information.

Bluetooth is enabled on this product. You can stream music wirelessly and also make and receive calls hands-free. If you have SWC, then you can also answer and hang up via those buttons.

With Official Kudos GPS mapping, pre-loaded with UK, Eire and Western European maps, getting lost will be a thing of the past! The latest mapping available with a simple, easy to use, touch screen user menu and POI locator.

An excellent feature of the Kudos GPS mapping is the junction view. With  clear audio instruction, you are assisted with a pop up view of the junction to help guide you into the right position so you never miss your turn.

Like the Junction view, the lane guidance function is fantastic. Especially when you are travelling through those network of roads in the city and the roads themselves don't even know the way to go! 

With Kudos mapping, you have all the expected information in front of you. You will see the street or road name, POI's on the map (including a speed camera database), when your next turn is and also your journey information.

The mapping will auto-detect the daylight and in the evenings it will switch into night mode. With 2D and 3D mapping visibility available, you will stay on course to your destination.

Plan your route and pick a journey you want to make. From Start to Finish, Kudos makes the journey easy to follow, clear with excellent audio guidance.

We like Kudos because it offers large icons for touch screen ease. You can navigate by at least 7 different means. An all round excellent navigation system.
